Obituary

James Edward Sweezey, 80, of Noblesville, passed away from complications of Alzheimer’s, in the arms and hearts of his wife, Marcia and son, James on September 10, 2023. He was born in Oceanside, New York to the late Wheeler and Bonnie Sweezey on June 2, 1943.

Jim served honorable in the United States Navy aboard the USS Dahlgren, DL12 during the Cuban Missile Crisis and a Mediterranean Tour including 1965. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars. Jim’s love for the sea made him a natural ocean sailor. Throughout his life, he was able to live in several different states. After his military service, Jim became a skilled Class A Machinist.

Most of all, he will be remembered as a beloved husband, father, uncle, and grandfather. Jim leaves behind wife, Marcia R. Sweezey; son, James M. Sweezey; grandson, James M. Sweezey III; Erica Miles, Jace Nolan; the Bresnahan family from MA; the Sweezey family from NY; and numerous friends across the USA and UK.
